Dr. Shachin Kumar Gupta is a well-known Diabetologist in Bhopal. Since 2003, he has been working as Consultant Diabetologist at Krishna Diabetes & Educational Research Centre, Bhopal. He is also   Assistant Professor (Medicine) at LN Medical College, Kolar Road, Bhopal, where he has been teaching since Dec 2009. Prior to these assignments Dr. Gupta worked as Medical Officer for the State Health Service of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, from 1989 to 1996.

Dr. Gupta has attended Diabetes training courses in Australia and educational seminars on Diabetes in the USA. To keep abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Gupta regularly attends and participates in Diabetes conferences worldwide.    

Dr. Shachin Gupta introduced Bhopal's first Diabetes Centre conforming to the WHO Protocol in 2001. He regularly organises Diabetes awareness and prevention programs and has authored several books on these subjects, in Hindi. He also runs a website in Hindi on Diabetes - www.krishnadiabetes.com.
